The Barford T512 tracked trommel is perfect for operators looking to screen topsoil or wet and sticky materials like compost.
It's lift and cut bars work to rotate and drop material against the screen drum, breaking it up and outperforming something like a scalping screen with sticky materials.

We work with you to find you the perfect machine, finance that works for you, and support you for life.
The T512 is a trommel screen, meaning it is optimised to work with damp or sticky materials. This machine is ideal for producing topsoil and compost, but can also be used to screen fines from recycling waste. We also have different types and sizes of machines for every application. You can see our full screening range here.
This Barford screener can technically process any material up to the width of the screen drum (roughly 5'). However, dropping material of this size on to the drums will likely damage them, so we recommend keeping the max material going into this machine below 15". From here, the screen drum can be changed to output a range of material sizes from fine topsoil at 1/4" to 5" oversize, however trommels usually run on the finer end of this scale. Our material experts are available to speak to you about your application and the correct screen drum setup for this machine. If you need a machine to screen down smaller or larger than this, we also have a range of machines to suit every application.
This machine will output around 150 tons per hour of material across its output conveyor and out of the drum. Note that this 150 tons will be split across 2 different material sizes. So if you are interested in producing more than two types of material a different screener such as a scalping screen may be more suitable. Different materials will change throughput and how the machine operates. If this is too much or too little we have machines that can screen to match your pace, just let us know what you need.
On average, our customers pay $2600-$3500 per month for this machine, on a 5 year plan with ~6% interest rate. Pricing varies depending on your credit, your business' liquidity, and the term of the loan. Or you can simply purchase for $155,000 delivered direct, anywhere in the U.S. mainland.
