The warranty on the motor will last for six months after you buy the machine. The rest of the unit will be under warranty for one year except for the replaceable cone tip which is a wear part and not covered under the warranty.
How many RPM’s does the Hands-Free Log Splitter turn at?
This will change depending on the model of cone splitter & the gallons per minute.
How long will the cone tip last before it needs replaced.
The cone is designed to be used on wood only. Used properly, it will last between 6 months & a couple of years. For the cone splitters that come with a replaceable tip, you can follow this procedure. For the larger units that you need the cone rethreaded, this can be sent back to U.S. Pride for an additional cost - please contact our service and support team (888) 814-2657 for more information.
What is the largest log that can be split with the cone splitter?
When it comes to splitting logs, size doesn't always matter! Sure, it's important to have a splitter that can handle larger diameters, but the real key is in the length of the log and where you start trying to split it. Don't try to split a giant log down the middle in one shot. Instead, go for smaller chunks along the edge - it'll make your life a whole lot easier and will be easier on the machine. With the right cone splitter, you can tackle just about any log - no matter how big or small. But if you're still not sure which one to pick, check out the product specs or give our team a call 617-925-9549. We'll help you find the perfect tool for the job!

Yes, but it will have four problems. It will be too slow, there likely won’t be enough torque, the bearings in the auger aren’t designed for side load and you need a rigid frame.
Will it split Elm?
Yes. You may have to tear fibers with the cone at a horizontal down-pressure stance.
Are there other attachments coming?
U.S. Pride have already got the following attachments - Stump splitter, trommel & grapple. They will also be announcing new attachments very soon!
Will the splitter fit onto my skid steer or excavator?

In the rare case you need a custom fitting, these can be made at an additional cost - to find out more information on this please contact the team 617-925-9549.
