Established in 1918 as Franklin P. Miller & Son, Franklin Miller Inc. (FMI) had its origins in the manufacturing of ice crushers and ice cream freezers. The company underwent a transformative shift when World War II veteran Harold Galanty acquired it in 1953. Under Harold's stewardship, the product line expanded to include DELUMPER® brand lump-breakers and the groundbreaking Pipeline DELUMPER® inline processor.
In 1979, following Harold's passing, his sons, Myron and Bill, assumed leadership roles. Under Bill's technical guidance, the company had numerous technological advancements and the development of patented innovations.
